Consumers who do not wish to be the subject of commercial canvassing by telephone may register, free of charge, on an opposition list against telephone canvassing.
Right of withdrawal
The customer is hereby informed that, pursuant to articles L. 121-16-1 and L. 121-21-8 12° of the French Consumer Code, in the case of tourist packages, accommodation services (other than residential accommodation), goods transportation services, vehicle rental, catering or leisure activities that must be provided on a specific date or during a specific period, the services offered are not subject to the right of withdrawal provided for in articles L. 121-21 et seq. of the French Consumer Code concerning distance selling.
Consequently, services ordered on the website or via the telephone platform are subject exclusively to the cancellation and modification conditions set out in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and/or in any Special Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Law on confidence in the digital economy 2004-575 of June 21, 2004
- Article 14 defines electronic commerce :
“Electronic commerce is the economic activity whereby a person offers or provides goods or services remotely and by electronic means.
Electronic commerce also includes services such as the provision of online information, commercial communications and tools for searching, accessing and retrieving data, accessing a communication network or hosting information, including when they are not remunerated by those who receive them…”.
- Article 19 imposes permanent, easily accessible notices on the site:
“Without prejudice to the other information obligations laid down by the legislative and regulatory texts in force, any person carrying out the activity defined in article 14 is required to provide those for whom the supply of goods or provision of services is intended with easy, direct and permanent access using an open standard to the following information:
1° In the case of a natural person, full name and, in the case of a legal entity, company name;
2° The address where it is established, its e-mail address, as well as telephone numbers allowing effective contact with it;

In addition to the above information, professionals must indicate the payment methods offered to consumers, as well as the procedures for handling complaints.

Without prejudice to the information obligations set out inarticle 19 of law no. 2004-575 of June 21, 2004 on confidence in the digital economy andarticle L. 111-7 of the present code, any natural or legal person whose activity consists, on a principal or accessory basis, in collecting, moderating or disseminating online consumer reviews is required to provide users with fair, clear and transparent information on the publication and processing of online reviews.
It specifies whether or not these notices are subject to control and, if so, indicates the main features of the control implemented.
It displays the date of the notice and any updates.
It informs consumers whose online reviews have not been published of the reasons for their rejection.
It is introducing a free feature that enables those responsible for products or services that are the subject of an online review to report any doubts they may have about the authenticity of that review, provided that the report is substantiated.
A decree, issued after consultation with the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, sets the terms and content of this information.
In accordance with Article 64 V of Law no. 2024-449 of May 21, 2024, these provisions come into force on February 17, 2024.
Escapade Vacances uses a review aggregator for the Moulin de César and the Cloître des Dominicains: Customer Alliance without moderation on our part. For Suze Luxe Nature, we respond to reviews posted on our Google My Business page, Secureholiday, Tripadvisor and Booking without moderation. In the event of a questionable review, we make a complaint to the platform on which the review was posted.
